The Old Course

Just on our doorstep is The Old Course. Par 71, 6088 yards. Golf on the Old Course has been continuous since 1889. It remains an original test of golf with undulations and ancient earthworks with the distraction of wonderful views across the Stroud Valleys.

No golfer seeking to connect with the origins of the game can fail to appreciate the experience that is 'The Old Course'. Annually each May hosts the Amateur Pro Am - the largest event in the South- West for golfers.

The Avening Course- Par 70, 6311 Yards

Less than three miles from the Inn is the Minchinhampton new Course, the first of which was The Avening. A parkland course featuring specimen tree's, challenging greens and several lakes. No poor relation to the Cherington course many will argue the Avening is a tougher test. It has hosted National and Country Events.

The Cherington Course- Par 71, 6433 Yards

Defined by a wide, open landscape, bisected by low Cotswold stone walls with large rolling greens with a 'links' quality, the Cherington course is recognised as an outstanding test of golf. Opened in 1995 it has hosted the Open Championiship Regional Qualifying from 2002 to 2007 and the English Golf Union to host the English Mid-Amateur Championshipo in 2007.
